The five day project I am working on is an autobiography of my life and how I worked my way into the journalism industry. This project is meant to impress the staff members of the Wisconsin State Journal so as to hire me for a summer copy editing/layout summer internship.
The Five Day Dash is my week-long web version on creating this project. I will have a QR code created that will be put on the other half of my project, a hard newspaper tracking my life. Both hard copy and online blog will complement the other, and hopefully bring me to obtaining this internship.
For the last day I have been brain storming on the perfect project and today finalized most of my plans. More than likely, things will change as normal writing projects do. I have so far outlined my hard pages, and brainstormed topics for the articles that I will be writing for the hard copy edition, and thought of different names for the hard version.
I will juggling three midterm exams, one presentation, our school’s newspaper layout along with this project. The end of the day will be this specific blog for the next four days. Wish me luck and think good thoughts.
All of us who professionally use the mass media are the shapers of society. We can vulgarize that society. We can brutalize it. Or we can help lift it onto a higher level.
